A study of factors which promote drug, tobacco, and alcohol use and the positive benefits of living a healthy, drug-free lifestyle. This course will examine dangers involved in substance abuse and alternatives available to using drugs, tobacco, and alcohol, and will focus on self-esteem building to acquire refusal skills for saying "no" to substance abuse. Required for all studentsinvolved in intercollegiate athletics (freshmen and transfers) and must be taken during their first semester of enrollment. This course is open to all students.
