This course is designed to examine the process of language development from birth through early childhood. Emphasis will be upon identifying the normal process of language acquisition through observation of children in natural settings, and atypical language development will also be discussed. Students will discover how to encourage children's communication skills through supportive social interactions and classroom activities.
