Communication is the central element of organizational life. Organizations can be viewed as both communicative creations and as structures that constrain communication. This course will provide an introduction to many of the issues researchers are currently exploring as well as provide historical background and theoretical frameworks for looking at organizational communication. This course will also cover the dynamics of organizational culture and culture's impact on communication. Prerequisite: MGMT 443 Organizational Behavior. Fall, Even Years
