This course is the second in a series of practice courses in the social work curriculum. It will focus on the generalist practice skills, interventions and issues involved in working with client systems consisting of families and small groups. Planning, assessment, intervention and termination stages will be addressed. Attention will be given to social work values; ethical decision making; roles of the social worker; and ethnic, racial and gender sensitive practice. Social work majors only. Prerequisite: SWK 351.
