This course examines the organization and operations of Congress and the role of executive and administrative agencies in the process of law making. Subjects such as the functions of Congress and the President, reapportionment and redistricting, nominations and elections, the role of political parties and lobbyists, congressional committees, the law-making process, war powers, treaties and executive agreements, congressional investigations, budgets and appropriations, and ethics in government will be studied.
