This course is an introduction to modern physics for the student who enters Hope College with advanced placement but weaknesses in the area of modern physics. The material covered includes interference and diffraction, wave nature of light, particle nature of light, wave nature of matter, introduction to quantum mechanics, and atomic and nuclear structure.
