This course presents the process of health assessment for individuals, families, and communities. Physical, psychological, social, spiritual, and cultural assessment skills and techniques are developed, focusing on lifespan application. This course is a combination of theory and applied experiences in the laboratory and community. Theory, one hour per week; laboratory, three hours per week. Prerequisites or corequisites include Biology 221 and 222, KIN 307, PSY 100, SOC 101, Nursing 210, and admission to the nursing major. Open to non-nursing majors by permission of the chairperson.
