This course will explore basic concepts underlying recent biomedical developments that affect your everyday life and decisions you have to make. Topics will include genetic engineering, cloning, somatic cell research, drug resistance, bioterrorism, etc. The course will focus on interpretation of the scientific information we receive through the media.
