Continuation of study of the concepts of thermodynamic phase equilibrium and their application to largescale separation processes used in industrial practice. Topics studied will include vapor-liquid and liquid-liquid equilibrium, nonideal gas behavior, diffusion and mass transfer, rate-based continuous contact, distillation, absorption and extraction, binary and multicomponent systems, other separation processes, and equipment design considerations.
