This is a study of the structures formed by rock deformation, stressing geometric techniques and the concept of strain. Geological maps and cross-sections will be emphasized in the laboratory, which will include instruction on their preparation and interpretation. Three hours of lecture and one three-hour laboratory each week. One weekend field trip is required. Prerequisite: GES 251 or permission of instructor. Four Credits Hansen Spring Semester, Even Years
