Introduction to the mathematical modeling, analysis, and control of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and thermal systems. Derivation of governing state (differential) equations. Analysis of the free and forced response of systems by direct analysis and computer simulation. Introduction to the design of feedback control systems including analyzing stability and characterizing system behavior. Includes laboratory component. Corequisite: ENGS 241.
