Thermodynamics is the study of heat and work. The concepts of the zeroth, first and second laws of thermodynamics, and equations of mass and energy conservation are presented. These concepts are then applied to power generation systems, refrigeration cycles, internal combustion, and jet engines. Corequisite: MATH 231. Prerequisite: PHYS 121.
