A study of secondary schools, with particular emphasis on principles and purposes. In conjunction with the various content-area methods courses, this course is designed to prepare students for teaching in middle schools and junior or senior high schools. When possible, students should schedule their content-area methods courses concurrently with this course. Prerequisite: admission to the Teacher Education program. Corequisite: Education 361.
