Laboratory experiments provide an introduction to modern laboratory techniques used in inorganic chemistry. The work stresses synthetic techniques (including the handling of air-sensitive materials in glove boxes and on vacuum lines), the preparation of novel materials of an inorganic and bioinorganic nature, and the study of their chemical, physical, structural, and kinetic properties by modern instrumental techniques. Laboratory, one 3-hour session per week (42 lab hours). Corequisite: Chemistry 322. One Credit Silver, Staff Spring Semester
