College: College of Pharmacy Department: Pharmacy Credit Hours: 4 The focus is on Rural Health Issues, Interdisciplinary Teams, Cultural Awareness and Community Empowerment. The student will be sensitized to issues regarding health care and medical practice in a rural setting and provided with an opportunity to apply communication skills and drug/disease management outside of urban hospital and clinic settings. They will learn through collaboration with other interdisciplinary team members, working with collaborative partners in the communities and people of different cultures.
