College: College of Pharmacy Department: Pharmacy Credit Hours: 4 This course has a lecture with 4 hours. An extensive discussion of pharmacotherapeutic principles in the treatment of disease. Case study discussion will illustrate pertinent treatment modalities and allow for the development of clinical problem solving skills. Emphasis will be placed on development of a clinical understanding of the disease process, the role of pharmacological intervention in the therapeutic plan and the development of an appropriate therapeutic regimen based on the clinical pharmacology of medications selected.
