College: College of Pharmacy Department: Pharmacy Credit Hours: 4 The Community Pharmacy Clerkship will provide the student an opportunity to develop basic and advanced skills needed for the delivery of patient-oriented pharmacy services in the community setting. All clerkship activities will be under the direction of an experienced practitioner. The student will develop competency in the following critical elements of this model: communication with practitioners and patients, assessment and monitoring of drug therapy, disease state management, patient education and effective pharmacy management.
