College: Michigan College of Optometry Department: MI College of Optometry Credit Hours: 5 This course has a lecture with 4 hours. This course has a lab with 3 hours. This is the first of a two semester sequence whose subject is structure and function of the human body, with an emphasis on systemic processes which impact the normal function of the eye and its adnexa. Topics include cell and tissue histology, muscle/digestive/visceral/neu ro and endocrine anatomy and physiology. The laboratory will provide practical experience with structure/function relationships, and an in-depth analysis of the skull, orbit, and the physiological effects of various systems on ocular structure and function. Typically Offered Fall Only.
