A comprehensive review of health information technology concepts related to medical terminology, pathophysiology, and health information statistics, filing and indexing concepts, content and documentation requirements, medicolegal concepts, quality assurance, utilization review, management issues, computer applications in health information and coding applications. Test taking techniques and preparation for the national registered health information technician exam will be addressed. Prerequisites: All required program courses completed prior to this course.
