Principles of coding with the CPT classification system. Laboratory practice in the assignment of codes using both computerized and manual methods. Health Information program students must earn "C" (2.0) or better. Two unsuccessful attempts (less than "C") will result in dismissal from the Health Information programs. Pre- Requisites: MRIS 101, MRIS 103 and BIOL 109 or 205. Co-Requisites: MRIS 228. Typically Offered Fall, Spring, Summer
