This course teaches basic simulation concepts to solve manufacturing facilities planning problems via Flexsim simulation software. Topics include the steps to a successful simulation project, understanding the different types of waiting times and how they can affect a manufacturing or logistic system, standard modeling methodology, and analysis and presentation of results. Prerequisites: ISYS 105 or MFGE 313 and Junior Status in a Manufacturing Related Program. Typically Offered Summer.
