A study of the works of a major literary movement of English literature, British or American. A major literary movement is defined as recognizable trend in literary history when a number of writers shared similar influences, tastes, and literary goals. The course may focus on a broad period, such as Medieval English Literature, or on a narrower field, such as American Naturalism.
