Students will study the characteristics of events and how to classify them. The course will cover the development of event objectives, design plans, promotion, sponsorship, protocol and venue requirements. This course will give the student a basic understanding of the service aspect of planned events. Student will gain an understanding of pertinent laws and regulations, insurance and security issues, risk management, contingency planning, and post event evaluations. Requires: HOMT 305 Typically Offered Fall Only
