Students will learn how to practice the craft of studying the past by developing "Historical Thinking Skills" that are essential for reading and analyzing primary and secondary sources. Students will also develop and apply research skills in terms of searching the Internet and using full-text electronic databases. Throughout the semester, students will develop and practice writing various analytical essays, as well as prepare an annotated bibliography and small research paper.
