This course is designed to increase the student's awareness of the many assessment tools used in the evaluation of young children with special needs. Students will get hands on experience evaluating and interpreting test results for young children. Topics will include play-based assessment, curriculum-based assessment, standardized assessment, and functional assessment. The importance of parent input will also be covered.
