This course explores the integrated concepts of philanthropy in the four major social studies taught at the K- 12 level: economics, geography, history, and government. Attention will be given to original source documents and supporting literature. Specific attention will be paid to the social studies standards and benchmarks and how philanthropy education can enhance student understanding of these core concepts. The objective will be to acquaint students with key social studies concepts, standards and benchmarks as they relate to philanthropy education. Pre-Requisites: Graduate status.
