Intended as preparation for CHEM 114 or CHEM 121 and should be taken by students with weak prior background in chemistry. It will emphasize the general process skills necessary for chemistry and introduce students to fundamental principles of chemistry, including observations and analysis; matter and atoms; periodic properties; the mole concept; chemical reactions; and states of matter.
