Theoretical studies and applications of computational techniques to macromolecular (i.e. polymers, proteins, and nucleic acids) structure, stability and function. Brownian dynamics, PoissonBoltzmann electro statics, potential of mean force, and homology modeling. Molecular graphics to aid in application of methods and interpretation of results. 4 lectures/problemsolving. Prerequisites: CHM 260, and either CHM 327 or 321.
