Principles of basic design and their application in the development of design concepts; use of creative problemsolving techniques in landscape design; sensory exploration and interpretation of factors that shape natural, physical, and cultural (manmade) landscapes. The course is siteand siteuserrelated, with an emphasis upon contextualism and the determinants of design and form. 1 onehour lecture, 2 threehour laboratories.
