Algorithms for numerical solution of parabolic, elliptic and hyperbolic partial differential equations. Finite volume and finite element methods. Applications in fluid dynamics, gas dynamics and heat transfer. Working knowledge of a highlevel computer language required. 4 lectures/problemsolving. Prerequisites: C or better in ARO 301. Corequisite: ARO 311.
