3 Semester Hours. Prerequisite: MA 431 Introduction to Probability. This is a calculus based introduction to statistics that studies the development and analysis of point and interval estimation of population parameters, testing hypotheses about population means, population variances, and population proportions, from one to several means/variances/proportions, including Pearson's Chi-Squared for categorical data and Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). This course also covers simple Linear Regression and analysis of the regression.
