3 Semester Hours. A course dealing with the development of cardiovascular endurance, muscle strength, flexibility, nutrition, and appropriate body composition as these elements contribute to health-related fitness. The course also provides the student with the opportunity to participate in an exercise program which emphasizes cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength, and flexibility. (Meets Area V Health and Physical Education requirement for education majors with approval of instructor.) Field Experience is required.
