3 credit hours This is a basic course in methods and procedures for teaching reading and language arts in grades 5-12. The course is designed to address the various aspects of teaching reading in the content areas of the curriculum. Instructional strategies for fostering independence in reading in content areas are emphasized. A fieldwork experience of 10 hours is required. Prereq: Educ 200, 250; 321, admission to TEP; or permission of instructor. (Spring)
