3 credit hours This course examines the nature, philosophy, and organization of the middle school. It explores curricular approaches appropriate for the special requirements of middle school adolescents. Curricular implementation (goals, objectives, unit and lesson planning, and use of a variety of appropriate instructional methodologies) is emphasized. A fieldwork experience of 10 hours is required. Prereq: Educ 200, 250, admission to TEP. (Fall)
