Credit 4 These four-week clerkships provide students with an opportunity to serve as a subintern in a general medicine service of an approved teaching hospital. Students are generally responsible for approximately half the patient load of an intern. Students are exposed to the inpatient management of diverse medical problems to facilitate the transition between the role of intern and student.
