Phylogeny of the chordates and the evolution of their organ systems though comparative anatomy. Structural modifications are correlated with function and their impact on the evolution of vertebrate phyla. Laboratory includes microscopic study of protochordates and dissection of the lamprey, shark, mudpuppy, and cat as well as detailed study of skeletal material. Prerequisites & Notes Adv Codes: FHR Prereq: BIO 103, BIO 104 with a grade of C- or better. Coreq: BIO 201 Lab fee required Normal Offering Cycle: Every other Fall Credits: 1
