The first in a sequence of two foundational courses in the structure and function of the human body. This course is designed as an elective for science majors (Biology, Chemistry) and is required by health profession majors (Physical Therapy, Nursing); it is offered every spring semester. A systems level approach is used to study general histology, and integumentary, skeletal, muscular, nervous, and endocrine systems. The laboratory component of the course (BIO 150L) is a co-requisite that reinforces the principles learned in lecture (BIO 150) with hands-on experiences in human physiology using state-of-the-art digital instrumentation, computer simulations, and animal dissection. Prerequisites & Notes Adv Code: BR Prereq: BIO 103, BIO 103L with grade C- or better for both. Coreq: BIO 150L For Biology/Environmental Science majors seeking to fulfill either the Organismal or Biology Elective requirement, both BIO 150/150L and BIO 151/151L are required.
