3 credits Change is A fundamental fact of our physical universe. In This course, students will explore the underlying structure of change by studying calculus. This course examines the calculus in its conceptual and historical context and introduces its essential topics: functions, limit, continuity, the derivative, and the definite integral. Students will learn about the important procedures of calculus, but much emphasis will also be placed on the meaning behind the procedures and how those procedures can be applied to problems in the real world. Restrictions for registration: Successful completion of an undergraduate pre-calculus or college algebra course or permission of instructor.
