The student chooses A subject for investigation (usually in the area of his/her concentration) and, working individually under the guidance of the appropriate instructor, writes an extensive paper. Consultation, planning, and groundwork for this paper should begin not less than one full semester before registration. A well-written proposal must be submitted to the Registrar. Prerequisites: 6 credits of 3000-level CLITR courses, upperclass standing, and permission of the instructor and division director for Humanities. By arrangement.
