1 credit Poems and other forms of evocative literature provide containers for powerful emotions, smokescreens that allow "dangerous" expressions to be revealed while concealed, and bridges between the parts of self andothers. The theory underlying poetry therapy is presented. Role-play of specific patient populations and creative writing exercises in group provide the experiential part.
