1 credit Addresses intergenerational issues as they relate to counseling the elderly. Families are viewed from A broad multicultural perspective. Emphasis is on the value and need to strengthen the bonds between the generations as well as to acknowledge the new problems and stresses in families today. Individual Life Stage and Family Life Cycle Developmental Theory provide A framework for understanding clinical problems and doing clinical interventions. Attention is also given to innovative intergenerational programs in the community.
