3 credits The potential of the computer to transform the medium of photography has become an issue as central to craft as to aesthetics. Blending traditional and digital processes can provide remarkable flexibility, control, and expressive freedom. This course explores the interaction of old and new in A variety of key areas. The full range of photographic modalities can be addressed. There are no restrictions on format, style, or intent. Classroom sessions provide opportunities for exploration, evaluation, and discussion of the implications of digital technology within the individual student's aesthetic. Prerequisites: Foundation II and Intro to Photoshop for Photographers or equivalent.
