3 credits In This course, we explore several approaches to indirect painting. Methods of underpainting, glazing, scumbling, and opaque painting are used to create paint surfaces that display the rich variety possible with oil paint. The preparation of surfaces, pigments, mediums, and vehicles are covered. Prerequisite: IFINE 2200 or permission of instructor.
