3 credits This class explores how the line between fine art photography and commercial fashion is slowly disappearing. Students are encouraged to find their own personal style through examining contemporary fashion photography and its impact on culture. History of the genre and its influences from other media are explored. Class time is divided between lectures, critique, visiting artists, field trips and locationshooting. Prerequisite: Seminar II (IPHOT 1310). Lighting is not taught in this class therefore IPHOT 2670, or equivalent, or permission of instructor is recommended.
