3 credits This course will explore the unique characteristics of the Irish-American cultural experience within twentieth century society from the perspectives of history, politics, literature, and the arts. Emphasis will be placed on understanding how the Irish reacted to their own oppression and how these experiences affected their views on race and culture in America.
