3 credits The objective of This course is to acquire the skills necessary to look at ecological issues of public health from a scientific and public policy point of view. Our focus will be to empower the individual to work toward affirmative, progressive change. We will explore the scientific, ethical, emotional, and cultural parameters that are involved in the complex web of decision making and judgment necessary to coordinate the interests of the economy, human needs, local communities, and wild ecosystems that inform public health discussions. Usually offered spring semester.
