3 credits Students analyze ways in which the spiritual and racial identity of women shapes their responses to racism. They study their own cultural identity; read and discuss A range of theological and political writing about gender, religion, and race; and use historical and contemporary examples to test their ideas and concepts. The students will explore connections between social and cultural history; feminist, womanist, and liberation theology; and multicultural/diversity studies. Usually offered fall or spring semester.
