1 credit Aikido is A modern martial art developed by Master Ueshiba Moriehei. "Aikido" can be translated as "the waof harmony" and, in practice, students learn to blend with the force of an opponent instead of trying to resist it. Students are introduced to the basic techniques of Aikido and work to develop A strong center. Although most classes are devoted to practice, discussion includes conflict resolution, body image, and other issues.
