six-hour course trains students in the lifesaving skills used in respiratory and cardiac emergencies. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) for adults, children, and infants are taught through lectures, readings, and video, then reinforced through practice on manikins. Those who pass a written and practical exam become certified in Community CPR for one year. Class fee includes required text. cr, either sem.
