Catalog Description: This entry level journalism course is a study of the gathering & reporting of news. The whole range of the reporter's work is covered by lecture & actual practice with the students working as reporters for the TC News. Newswriting & feature writing are stressed. This course is a prequisite for COMM 1316, 2305, 2309, 2315. Also required is one of the practicums--COMM1129, 1130, 2129 or 2130.
